What Happens During an Extended Family Session

Extended family sessions begin with a full family portrait featuring everyone together. Once we’ve captured that important group shot, I then take time to photograph smaller combinations — children with grandparents, cousins together, each individual family unit, siblings, and any special pairings you’d like. This ensures you receive a beautifully varied gallery filled with meaningful images.

Just like my regular family sessions, extended family shoots are fun, relaxed, and full of play. I love taking the time to get to know you and your little ones before the session. Learning about the children’s favourite games, personalities, and interests helps me plan a session that is enjoyable for all ages — from toddlers to teenagers to grandparents. When families are relaxed and having fun, the smiles are genuine, the cuddles are real, and the images reflect the true joy of being together.
